Headline: SURNAME LEADS EUROPE TO RYDER CUP VICTORY

Sub-headline: HOMETOWN Star Brings Cup Home

Story:

Europe reclaimed the Ryder Cup yesterday, winning an incredible victory that went down to the final singles match. Previous US Open Champion Tiger Woods made a birdie at the 17th that seemed to make an outright win for the US an almost certainty. But that was all before FIRSTNAME SURNAME stepped up to tee at the 18th.

It was a perfect summer’s evening at St. Andrews, and you could almost feel the ghosts of previous greats who played on this very ground for over 600 years cheering FIRSTNAME on. This talented individual from HOMETOWN, has come out of nowhere, winning back-to-back victories at both the US and British Open last year.

As SURNAME approached the tee, the crowd fell absolutely silent. In the audience watching with bated breath were men who had stood exactly where he stood now, (Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie) but with a greater challenge than any of them had faced before – to finish on a double eagle!

SURNAME smiled and waved to the crowd. It is not just his talent that has endeared him to the public, but his easy going and infectious personality has made him a true superstar and ambassador to the sport.

He raised his club into the air, the tension in the atmosphere almost palpable. He hit the ball with such accuracy and strength and up it soared into the sky, his body and swing, a movement of perfect precision.

When the ball descended from its height and popped straight into the hole, the crowd went wild, and even Tiger Woods was seen to shed a tear. The Ryder Cup was Europe’s once again, and one can’t help but wonder if FIRSTNAME SURNAME will now be known as the greatest golfer the world has ever seen.
